Disaster buying a Solar Water Heater

I decided I wanted one of the new evacuated tube solar water heaters. They are supposed to be ultra efficient and state of the art in water heating. I saw Silicon Solar was selling an entire package ready to install for 2999.95. I paid for it and waited for delivery. BIG gargantuan mistake. I should have checked the reviews more carefully. I knew they had a few that had complained, but nothing like I was to discover later. Silicon Solar is a completely disreputable dealer. Anyone deciding to purchase from them REALLY needs to keep reading!

It's been a month now and I'm still fighting with them to get my refund. I'm literally having to wait for paypal to TAKE the money back from them. The most unbelievable part is they keep telling me that paypal won't let them refund the money because it's in dispute. WTF??? I called the billing department at Silicon Solar and spoke with them in depth about this. They kept telling me over and over that they couldn't refund the money unless I ended the dispute. Oh yeah, I'm sure that's going to happen...NOT. Paypal has the money seized and has assured me I will get my money back if they won't settle the dispute. If I end the dispute that's like telling paypal I'm happy as a clam with them and I don't have a problem and then I would NEVER get my money if Silicon Solar decided they wouldn't refund. The billing department at Silicon Solar is tried to convince me it was impossible for them to refund my money through paypal as long as the money is in dispute. These people have to the biggest dumbasses running a business on the planet! If you don't understand how paypal works why on earth would you take it as payment??

My refund was granted from paypal on July 2, 2007, thirty-two days after I placed my order. It's still not in my account but I'm told by paypal it's on it's way. This was only after paypal literally took the money from them and gave it back.
